Janelle Hafermann MAC, LPC, CSAC, ICS, NCAC, SAP

Janelle is a Licensed Professional Counselor, Clinical Substance Abuse Counselor, and Independent Clinical Supervisor. She also holds certifications as a Substance Abuse Professional and National Certified Addiction Counselor. Janelle earned her Bachelor's Degree in Human Service Leadership from UW-Oshkosh before obtaining her Master's Degree in Professional Community Counseling from Lakeland University.

Janelle has extensive experience working with diverse populations and specializes in supporting individuals dealing with post traumatic stress, trauma, adversity, grief and loss, substance use, sexual and physical violence, and various mood disorders. Her background as a veteran and former first responder uniquely qualifies her to understand and address the complex challenges faced by individuals and families in these situations.
Janelle incorporates a diverse mix of therapeutic styles into her practice, drawing from EMDR, Cognitive Behavioral, and Person-Centered models, among others. She deeply values the unique stories and journeys of each individual, considering it a privilege to accompany them on their personal paths to healing and growth.
Janelle's mission is to understand and support the goals and needs of those she works with. She offers a holistic, culturally informed team approach to each unique individual. Janelle believes in highlighting each person's strengths and utilizing their expertise regarding their life, needs, and the challenges that led them to seek assistance.
Janelle finds that the therapeutic journey begins together as an exploration of improvement and develops into a journey of self-discovery, self-love, and acceptance.
Breana Seuffer MAC, LPC, SAC
Licensed Professional Counselor, Substance Abuse Counselor
Breana is a Licensed Professional Counselor and Substance Abuse Counselor. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from UW-Oshkosh prior to obtaining her Master’s Degree in Professional Community Counseling from Lakeland University.
Breana has experience working with young children, adolescents, adults, and families. Breana’s experience comes from being an intensive in-home therapist, working directly in the homes with families, their family systems, and family dynamics. Breana works with a person-centered approach, to learn about, understand, and assist each person in reaching their therapeutic goals. She uses a variety of therapeutic interventions and modalities including, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma Focused-Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Solution Focused, Structural Family Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Play Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Prime for Life, grounding techniques, deep breathing, and muscle relaxation.
Breana strives to end the stigma of mental health. She believes that in this world, we need to make mental health a priority. Be the beacon of light in someone’s darkness. Be insightful of how you impact others, be kind, and be aware that not all illnesses are visible. Stop making fun of people, because they cry, they pace, they cancel plans, they talk in circles, they fidget, they struggle, they depersonalize, or they have irrational and far-fetched thoughts.

Christopher A. Giese MSEd, LPC
Licensed Professional Counselor
Chris, a Licensed Professional Counselor, holds a Bachelor's Degree in Forest Administration from the University of Wisconsin Stevens Point and a Master's Degree in Community Counseling from the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh.
Chris possesses extensive experience working with diverse client populations, including individuals, families, and couples across all ages. Notably, Chris spent several years in a trauma-based day treatment program, honing his skills in supporting adolescents and children.
Chris employs an eclectic blend of therapeutic approaches, incorporating elements of cognitive behavioral and person-centered therapy, as well as other methodologies. Chris believes in the inherent capacity of each client to resolve their concerns and fosters a collaborative counseling dynamic.
By adopting an approach that positions the client as the expert and the counselor as a student, Chris fosters a collaborative environment that leverages advanced listening and communication skills, along with an intrinsic grasp of human behavior, to optimize the client's personal satisfaction and functionality.
Brenda J. Ertl MAC, M.Div, LPC
Licensed Professional Counselor
Brenda, a Licensed Professional Counselor, earned a Master of Science in Community Counseling from Lakeland University and a Master of Divinity from Luther Seminary. She also holds an undergraduate degree from the University of Wisconsin Stevens Point.

Brenda has dedicated her career to assisting others in realizing their full potential, while also prioritzing the development of healthy emotional equilibrium in those she encounters.

Brenda fosters a positive and tranquil atmosphere with her proficiency in diverse therapeutic approaches and uplifting presence. Brenda specializies in addressing challenges that impact both the young and the aging populations, working with older adolescents and adults.
With a diverse range of therapeutic modalities at her disposal, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Eye Movement and Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy, and Person-Centered Therapy, Brenda creates a holistic and supportive environment that enables individuals to explore their challenges and achieve personal growth.

Joshua Deisinger, MS, LPC-IT, SAC-IT

Joshua Deisinger, a Licensed Professional Counselor - In Training, has a strong foundation in both psychology and digital media development. He has attained a Master's Degree in Military and Emergency Responder Psychology from Colorado State University Global and a Bachelor's Degree in Web and Digital Media Development from the University of Wisconsin Stevens Point. This year, Joshua will aim to expand his knowledge by pursuing a Doctorate in Leadership through Dayton University's Online Education Program.

Joshua's fourteen-year tenure in the United States Army was marked by his dedication and commitment to serving his country. During his twenty-two months of combat deployment in Iraq, he demonstrated his expertise in multiple military occupational specialties (11 B, 92 F, and 88 M) and proved his leadership skills as a Staff Sergeant, accumulating nearly 50,000 miles of convoy escort experience before medically retiring.

Joshua employs a person-centered approach in his practice, concentrating on trauma, with a particular emphasis on complex trauma experienced by service members and first responders. He combines this approach with various therapeutic elements and theoretical frameworks, such as interpersonal and intrapersonal relationships, social learning theory, cognitive development theory, moral development, and career development theories, to promote individualized success.

Joshua possesses a Wisconsin substitute teacher's license and has taught in several Central Wisconsin school districts. He is dedicated to providing guidance and understanding to junior high school students, a demographic that he believes deserves more focused attention.

Tailoring psychoeducational strategies to each individual is crucial, according to Joshua, for fostering personal development and genuine post-traumatic growth and healing.

Heidi Goodreau MSEd, MAEd
School Counselor and Clinical Mental Health Counselor Intern
Heidi is a licensed school counselor and mental health counseling intern with a strong foundation in person-centered, trauma-informed care. She holds a Bachelor’s degree from the College of St. Benedict, a Master’s in Education from St. Catherine University, and a Master’s in Counseling from UW-Superior. Heidi’s professional experience includes working as a school counselor and behavior interventionist, alongside specialized trauma informed training in yoga and restorative exercise, all of which foster an integrative approach to therapy. Heidi is deeply committed to creating a safe and nurturing environment where clients – kids, teens, and adults – feel comfortable being authentic and know they are seen, heard, valued, and loved.
Heidi’s therapeutic approach is anchored in unconditional positive regard and radical acceptance, drawing on the principles of cognitive behavioral therapy, somatic therapy, mindfulness, and neurobiology to support clients’ healing process. She is particularly passionate about exploring the mind-body connection, understanding how relational and developmental trauma impacts mental health, and addressing complex issues such as birth trauma, PTSD, complex PTSD, anxiety, depression, disordered eating patterns, stress, and burnout.
Believing in the power of relationships as a key to clients' success, she strives to build strong, trusting connections with those she works with. Her work is deeply informed by an interest in the neurobiological underpinnings of trauma and mental health and is committed to continuous learning in areas to better serve her clients. Whether through traditional talk therapy, incorporating mindfulness, or engaging in therapeutic play, she tailors her approach to meet the unique needs of each individual.
Her goal is to empower clients on their path of healing, helping them reconnect with their inner strengths, find resilience, and create meaningful, lasting change in their lives.
Stacey Wellnitz ABA
Behavioral Health Manager
Stacey draws on more than 10 years of experience in billing and management, with 5 of those years focused in behavioral health. Stacey is dedicated to ensuring that individuals receive the care they need while staying within their budget. Stacey’s goal is fostering a supportive environment that allows clients to access quality behavioral health services without financial barriers.
Stacey’s main focus at Hafermann Counseling Collaborative is to develop strong connections within the community, allowing us to understand the unique needs of our clients and provide personalized support through partnerships with local organizations and our team of providers.
In her personal life, Stacey is a dedicated parent to three amazing children and relishes spending quality time with them. Moreover, Stacey has a profound interest in reading, which enables her to enhance her knowledge of important behavioral health topics.
Stacey is committed to leading the Hafermann Counseling Collaborative team with compassion, efficiency, and a steadfast dedication to delivering exceptional results and improving the lives of those we serve.
