Janelle is a Licensed Professional Counselor, Clinical Substance Abuse Counselor, and Independent Clinical Supervisor. She also holds certifications as a Substance Abuse Professional and National Certified Addiction Counselor. Janelle earned her Bachelor's Degree in Human Service Leadership from UW-Oshkosh before obtaining her Master's Degree in Professional Community Counseling from Lakeland University. Janelle has extensive experience working with diverse populations and specializes in supporting individuals dealing with post traumatic stress, trauma, adversity, grief and loss, substance use, sexual and physical violence, and various mood disorders. Her background as a veteran and former first responder uniquely qualifies her to understand and address the complex challenges faced by individuals and families in these situations. Janelle incorporates a eclectic mix of therapeutic styles into her practice, drawing from EMDR, Cognitive Behavioral, and Person-Centered models, among others. She deeply values the unique stories and journeys of each individual, considering it a privilege to accompany them on their personal paths to healing and growth. Janelle's mission is to understand and support the goals and needs of those she works with. She offers a holistic, culturally informed team approach to each unique individual. Janelle believes in highlighting each person's strengths and utilizing their expertise regarding their life, needs, and the challenges that led them to seek assistance. Janelle finds that the therapeutic journey begins together as an exploration of improvement and develops into a journey of self-discovery, self-love, and acceptance.

Kimberly is a Board-Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) with a background in both inpatient and outpatient mental health care. She earned her Associate’s Degree in Nursing from Mid-State Technical College, followed by a Bachelor’s in Nursing from University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. She then pursued her Master’s in Nursing with a specialty Psychiatry from the University of South Alabama, where she developed a passion for addressing the complex mental health needs of a diverse population. Currently, Kimberly is advancing her education further as a student at the Medical University of South Carolina, where she is pursuing her Doctoral Degree in Nursing. With over five years of experience working with individuals facing a range of mental health challenges—such as schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, depression, personality disorders, and cognitive impairments—Kimberly is deeply committed to helping people navigate their mental health journeys. Her clinical experience has equipped her with a broad understanding of the nuances of mental illness, and she strives to provide compassionate, individualized care for each patient she serves. In addition to her clinical work, Kimberly is dedicated to educating the next generation of healthcare providers. She teaches mental health in the nursing program, believing that mental health is an essential part of overall well-being. She advocates for a holistic approach that emphasizes the connection between mental health and physical health, aiming to shift the way people approach self-care in both their personal and professional lives. Kimberly’s goal is to help individuals lead fulfilling lives—equipped with the tools and support to thrive, regardless of the mental health challenges they may face. Inspired by the words of Dr. Paul Farmer, she believes that "the idea that some lives matter less is the root of all that is wrong with the world." She strives to bring this philosophy into her practice, empowering her patients to recognize their worth and pursue success and happiness in their own lives.

Breana is a Licensed Professional Counselor and Substance Abuse Counselor. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from UW-Oshkosh prior to obtaining her Master’s Degree in Professional Community Counseling from Lakeland University. Breana has experience working with young children, adolescents, adults, and families. Breana’s experience comes from being an intensive in-home therapist, working directly in the homes with families, their family systems, and family dynamics. Breana works with a person-centered approach, to learn about, understand, and assist each person in reaching their therapeutic goals. She uses a variety of therapeutic interventions and modalities including, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma Focused-Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Solution Focused, Structural Family Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Play Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Prime for Life, grounding techniques, deep breathing, and muscle relaxation. Breana strives to end the stigma of mental health. She believes that in this world, we need to make mental health a priority. Be the beacon of light in someone’s darkness. She also holds an undergraduate degree from the University of Wisconsin Stevens Point. Brenda has dedicated her career to assisting others in realizing their full potential, while also prioritizing the development of healthy emotional equilibrium in those she encounters. Brenda fosters a positive and tranquil atmosphere with her proficiency in diverse therapeutic approaches and uplifting presence. Brenda specializes in addressing challenges that impact both the young and the aging populations, working with older adolescents and adults. With a diverse range of therapeutic modalities at her disposal, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Eye Movement and Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy, and Person-Centered Therapy, Brenda creates a holistic and supportive environment that enables individuals to explore their challenges and achieve personal growth. Brenda offers a spiritual hub, respecting the diversity of her clients and recognizing the value of faith in navigating life's challenges.

Heidi is a licensed professional counselor in-training and a substance abuse counselor in-training with a strong foundation in person-centered, trauma-informed care. She holds a Bachelor’s degree from the College of St. Benedict, a Master’s in Education from St. Catherine University, and a Master’s in Counseling from UW-Superior. Heidi’s professional experience includes working as a school counselor and behavior interventionist, alongside specialized trauma informed training in yoga and restorative exercise, all of which foster an integrative approach to therapy. Heidi is deeply committed to creating a safe and nurturing environment where clients – kids, teens, and adults – feel comfortable being authentic and know they are seen, heard, valued, and loved. Heidi’s therapeutic approach is anchored in unconditional positive regard and radical acceptance, drawing on the principles of cognitive behavioral therapy, somatic therapy, mindfulness, and neurobiology to support clients’ healing process. She is particularly passionate about exploring the mind-body connection, understanding how relational and developmental trauma impacts mental health, and addressing complex issues such as birth trauma, PTSD, complex PTSD, anxiety, depression, disordered eating patterns, stress, and burnout. Believing in the power of relationships as a key to clients' success, she strives to build strong, trusting connections with those she works with. Her work is deeply informed by an interest in the neurobiological underpinnings of trauma and mental health and is committed to continuous learning in areas to better serve her clients. Whether through traditional talk therapy, incorporating mindfulness, or engaging in therapeutic play, she tailors her approach to meet the unique needs of each individual. Alysa Dunn is an advanced practice social worker working toward becoming a fully licensed clinical social worker and a licensed substance abuse counselor. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Emergency Management from the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh and a master’s degree in Social Work from the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay. Alysa brings a unique perspective to her practice, informed by her service in the United States Navy, where she supported efforts aboard the USS Enterprise during the Operation Enduring Freedom War. This experience broadened her understanding of diverse populations and shaped her passion for helping others. Specializing in post-traumatic stress disorder, trauma, sexual and physical violence, substance use, mood disorders, and neurodiverse children, Alysa’s background as a medical professional and veteran equips her to work effectively with individuals and families facing complex challenges. Alysa incorporates a blend of therapeutic approaches, including Cognitive and Behavioral Models with a person-centered approach, Psychodynamic Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Play Therapy, and Structural Family Therapy. She remains committed to ongoing education and professional development to ensure she provides the most effective care to her clients. At the heart of Alysa’s practice is her goal to create a safe and supportive space for clients to explore their challenges and build on their strengths. She is a firm believer in empowering individuals to achieve their goals while adhering to ethical standards and advocating for social justice. Stacey’s main focus at Hafermann Counseling Collaborative is to develop strong connections within the community, allowing us to understand the unique needs of our clients and provide personalized support through partnerships with local organizations and our team of providers. In her personal life, Stacey is a dedicated parent to three amazing children and relishes spending quality time with them. Moreover, Stacey has a profound interest in reading, which enables her to enhance her knowledge of important behavioral health topics. Stacey is committed to leading the Hafermann Counseling Collaborative team with compassion, efficiency, and a steadfast dedication to delivering exceptional results and improving the lives of those we serve.
